Rolling vineyard hills at golden hour
San Miguel, California

Come on in — the wine's cold and the view is yours.

We've been growing grapes and pouring glasses on this hillside since 1998. Pull up a chair, stay a while.

A family hillside, a handful of varietals, and a lot of patience.

Hog Canyon Vineyards started as a weekend project — two people, a few cuttings, and a stubborn belief that this particular slope of San Miguel could grow something worth sharing. That was 1998. The cuttings took. The slope held. And we never looked back.

Today we tend about twelve acres of vineyard, mostly Zinfandel and Grenache with a small parcel of Syrah and a whisper of Carignan. Everything is dry-farmed, hand-pruned, and fermented with nothing more than what the fruit brings. We keep the volumes small on purpose: we'd rather pour you a glass that feels like a conversation than one that feels like a transaction.

Our tasting room sits at the end of a dirt road with no Wi-Fi and a view that goes on forever. That's not a gimmick — it's the whole point. We built this place for people who want to slow down, taste something honest, and remember what a Saturday afternoon can feel like.

Hog Canyon Reserve

Our flagship. Grown on the south-facing ridge, aged 14 months in French oak. Dark cherry, black pepper, and a streak of dried herbs that lingers all the way down.

Grenache

Sun-bleached

Lighter on its feet — bright strawberry, crushed rosemary, and a whisper of orange peel. Pairs beautifully with summer food and cooler evenings.

Dry · 13.2% · 750ml

North Block

Our coolest site, planted in 2006. Smoky, savory, with black olive and blueberry folded together. A wine that tastes like the canyon after rain.

Old Vines

Planted before state records. Low yields, concentrated fruit, and a texture that feels like velvet. Our smallest production — and the one people write about.

Dry · 13.9% · 750ml
